It was about 9:00 am and Mr. Spritely had just opened his shop. He was a tall fair-skinned gentleman with short dark hair, who having retired from the Navy, decided to open a Food Mart in central Grace Bay. His daughters Sarah and Michelle, were helping to assist with the customers, when all of a sudden two tall Caucasian boys walked in and went to the back near the grocer's aisle. They grabbed a young mother and ordered Michelle to open the cash register. However, Sarah was at the back when she heard the commotion, and ran into the office and tried to turn on the alarm, but was shot by one of the robbers in the process. Mr. Spritely begged the robbers not to hurt anyone else, but they wouldn't listen and shot him in the head. On seeing her father's lifeless body in a pool of blood on the floor Michelle collapsed. By this time, the robbers had taken almost everything in the cash register and from the customers in the store. They were about to go into the office, but a Guard from a nearby building heard shots and dialed the police.
