In the society we live in today, religion could have no major place. Everyone is too capitalistic so religion would never be implemented and practiced properly. Whereas religion should provide the answer to what the purpose of life is, most people in our society push that thought aside and do whatever it will take to give themselves comfort and pleasure in the present and near future. However if people began to think about important questions like these more often, they would realize the value of a solid religion's guidance.
Every individual will wonder at one time or another what the purpose of living is. Are we just born to live for a few years, die, and then everything is gone? Every individual will also wonder at one time or another what came before their life and what is going to come after. However no one puts in the effort to attempt to answer these questions. Instead we push those thoughts in the back of our minds so we can get on with doing whatever it takes to feel good later on. Our society is very capitalistic...
