For most art works, there is a clear message behind what the artist was trying to do. A pronounced theme leading the viewer towards an oft unremarkable conclusion. Wendell Castle's works tend to gravitate to the opposite of that sort of spectrum. His sculptures are instead just to be beheld. Their purpose is to not have a clear purpose. They represent creativity as what it truly is, an unparalleled chaotic force. This swirling mass of random thought and inspired images from where Castle draws finds his Muse.
