The Brooks Steven Design Center has exhibited designers who have embraced the challenge and opportunity of universal design. There were several galleries that provided a good design. Each design had its own significance and role for our society. The gallery made me appreciate the little things and reflect on what went into creating them.
One of the first major designs I viewed was the Solace Pedicure Spa Chair. The chair had black leather interior, with a headrest that folded out. The feet of a person who sat in the chair could have a spa for their feet or even a pedicure. There was a remote control that controlled the speed and direction of the levels of the water. Your feet are in a little hot tub where they can be tranquil. While your feet are relaxing, the rest of your body is relaxing in the chair...
