If I were Magic Johnson
Magic Johnson is a man of great accomplishment. Despite encountering hardship, he has managed to achieve honorable advancements in business, and community development. In 1991, he was diagnosed with HIV, a disease that at the time was highly ridiculed. Despite the possibility of a media backlash Magic found the strength to tell the world about his problem. Magic did not know how the media was going to respond or what types of obstacles he was going to over come. He showed the world that even if the odds are against you never count yourself out.
If I were to put myself in Magic Johnson shoes for one day I would continue to help aid under privilege children and help better develop the "run down" communities we have in our society. I would help better our schools with up to date books and more after school tutoring programs. I think that after school tutoring programs have fallen out of the picture in the past couple of years. Students in this generations are beginning to drop out of school more and more joining gangs because they think that it is easier to represent a color than to learn how to read and write...
