“The Fall of the House of Usher”
“The Fall of the House of Usher” is an all-time classic story that portrays dread and insanity through the characters as well as the setting. Although Edgar Allen Poe’s story, “The Fall of the House of Usher” is similar in both the story and movie versions, the characters differ dramatically. ... At the beginning of the story, the house is described as bleak and muggy and is just dying away. In a sense, the house also represents the Usher family. ... The people involved in this story seem to be fine at first but once the house has caught their eye, their whole attitudes just changes.
