I disagree with the assertion. It is true that we live in the age of technology. Every day, new technology appears, ranging form computers to biotechnologies. Doubtless, technology has brought us a myriad of improvements in every aspect of our lives. How could one simply state that technology has created more problems than it solved?
One good example of why technology has not created more problems than it solved involves the computer revolution. Perhaps the most important impact of personal computers has been to increase our ability to communicate with the outside world. For instance, we can obtain references and statistics for papers on the internet from libraries. The lonely can get into on-line "chat rooms" to talk with similarly house-bound people or to discuss their interests and problems with others who have similar interests and problems. Some people even start to find their romances in chat rooms...
