High School High
Film and Schooling
Introduction
"High School High", produced by David Zucker, is an American movie which is mostly based at a teenage audience. The film includes Jon Lovitz who plays Richard Clark, the young up and coming new teacher who leaves the safe world of Wellington where his father is the headmaster and travels into the territory of a ghetto school that is so tough it has its own cemetery. Clark sets out to change the path the school is following and he plays the super teacher role. The students at first give him a hard time but eventually realise that he is trying to help them. Clark breaks through to Griff, played by Mekhi Phifer, who seems to be the ring leader of the class and find that he has a hidden dream. Griff helps Clark's course and Marion Barry High School end up having a class of six graduating. This is a huge achievement for the school.
