The poem is describing the season of autumn. It illustrates a natural and picturesque picture of this season. Also a happy time, "Warm days will never cease." The poet then goes on to describe the lade back atmosphere you get about the season of autumn, "Thou watchest the last oozings, hour by hour." Autumn is not a season for activity because all the activities have been done during the summer months. Autumn is leading you into winter, it is the time of year when everything is coming to maturity, "And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core" and then go on to die in winter. The last stanza goes onto describe how autumn is nearly over and winter is coming. Overall it gives a positive attitude towards autumn.
