El Salvador
El Salvador is the smallest country in the Central America region. It is roughly the size of Massachusetts. It is roughly rectangular in shape with 515 kilometers of land boundaries and 307 kilometers of coastline on the Pacific Ocean. Guatemala boards El Salvador to the west and Honduras to the north and east, and it is separated from Nicaragua on the southeast by the Golf of de Fonseca. It is second in population, next to Guatemala. Nearly one-third of the 6 million people of El Salvador lives in the capital city of San Salvador. The country's name "El Salvador" which translated from Spanish means "the savior" in honor of Jesus.
Climate
