Almost every student has an accomplishment of which he/she is most proud. Some students are praised for their athletic and leadership abilities, while others are praised for their academic success. Aside for past accomplishments, students are often recognized for their future goals and ideas about education. Like many other students who have attained academic success, I became aware of my true potential and realized what it takes to achieve my goals.
Becoming Valedictorian of my high school class wasn't a simple undertaking. It took hard work and persistence to achieve this accomplishment. Being able to weather the storm of writing term papers, the strictness of some teachers, and the long hours of school were vital to success. Although there were difficult moments in my years in high school, I learned that in order to succeed, a positive attitude toward education is essential. This award reinforced my belief that no matter how discouraging life can get, a student should hold strong and strive for the best.
