Reader Response Analysis Why will someone choose to participate in such dysfunction? “Why I Live at the P.O.” begins with a tone of envy. Stella-Rondo-with a two-year of child return to the family home was not a cause for celebration, but a cause for concern. Her attempt to run off and start a new life that didn’t include contact with her family was to be know more. The narrator’s approach to the sibling rivalry between the two sisters was apparent. The statement about Stella-Rondo being able to obtain everything she ever wanted, to include her sister’s boyfriend is a testimonial of her total disregard for the feeling of others. The tone of the first page gave me a sense that the two girls never got along but merely existed. Their relationship seem to engulf the family whom become some what numb to the angry words thrown about between the two.
