In this article Sprague discussed alternative views and presented a framework that explores the nature, scope, and content of the evolving topic of Decision Support System (DSS). The first part of the article explored the framework by the following sections: (A) the levels of technology that have been designated for DSS, (B) the evolving developmental approach for the creation of a DSS, and (C) the roles and key types of people for building a DSS. ... Lastly, Sprague outlines several issues about the future growth and development of a DSS in organizations. On the other hand, in the organization, a DSS has greater emphasis on some of the following characteristics: Decision that are focused and aimed to the managers and executive decision makers, An emphasis on flexibility, adaptability, and quick response and support for the personal decision making styles of individual managers.
