I believe there were hidden motives as to why President Bush insisted on invading Iraq. Probably the biggest reason America went to war with Iraq was the ties it had with al-Qaida in the events that preceded 9/11. ... Iraq was also portrayed as a harbor for terrorist groups. However after the US forces invaded Iraq, the presidency made a speech saying that they had received bad intelligence information, and that the Iraqi government had no ties with al-Qaida.
