1. Ideologies are separated into two groups, cultural ideology and dominate ideology. Cultural is the general ideas used to make sense of the social world, while dominate is the ideas of the powerful (dominate) group in society. These are both used to help people to deal with how things are in the world. When people are trying to understand why things are the way they are; they often end up using ideologies to explain it. 2. Gender logic is a form of logic used to say that men are better at sports then women simply because they are a man. While race logic is related to ideas about racial issue, for example someone being able to jump high is related to the fact that they are either black or white with black people being able to jump higher then white people just because they are black. 3. Socialization of an individual is what happens when that individual starts to become part of a society and thus is interacting with the society in a social manner. They learn to say and do certain things just to become an accepted member of the society. Some people use sports to achieve this socialization, by playing sports that their friends play or playing the popular sport. For example if someone wanted to be friends with someone who was playing football they would not start playing soccer, but instead they would try to play football. This is what forms the bonds on sports teams. During the season football players are much better friends to each other then when they are out of the season. This may be just because of the increased amount of contact during the season but is more likely to be the socialization in sports.
