1)Why do you think the author strongly emphasizes the value of a good script? Without a strong script, nothing else matters. If your script isn’t phenomenal then it probably is not worth the time and effort it will take to produce it. 2) What do you think makes a great script? A great script must have well developed characters, a tight plot and a compelling theme. I also think that an original idea would also contribute to a great script. 3)What movie have you seen in the last year that you feel has a strong script? Why? My favorite movie of the past year was “Chicago.” This is a film that was written for the stage, as a musical. Because it was originally meant to be seen as a live performance, “Chicago” has an especially strong script. There are only so many special effects that can be pulled off in front of a live audience. This leaves the actors and story line left to tell the story. 4)Once you have a good idea, what is the next most important step in writing the script? The next most important thing to do, is to evaluate your resources.
