British Columbia and other Canadian provinces have the Office of Information and Privacy Commissioner. The purpose of the legislation is to make governmental decisions transparent, informing citizens who makes decisions and the rationale behind them (Stewart, 2001, p.75) and protect citizens' personal information. In this paper, through analysis of current issues, I will analyze the contributions of this legislation to policy- making, governance and justice in society.
