Introduction
As a standard grade art student, for my exam I must write an essay on packaging. As a consumer this shouldn't be too difficult a challenge but, that's how I will treat this assignment. Packaging has been used for many years, mainly to contain, protect and preserve products through all aspects of industry. In this essay, I will be exploring and discussing all aspects of my chosen packages, also I will offer my thoughts and opinions on these four items I have chosen to investigate.
I like the whole idea of how each company has its own trademark whether it's the colour of their products, shape, function, size or how they promote things all of which are designed to show their unique abilities to provoke customers.
Lucozade
My first product I'm going to investigate is the "brain and body energy drink" Lucozade. Have u ever went to the shop to buy Lucozade and couldn't tell the difference between the original and orange flavour Lucozade bottles until you hold them up to the light? The colours used on the print of the bottles are too alike.
The graphics try to show those of a sporty nature without including a specific sport, I think they promote speed. The designer has done this by making the shape on the label appear like a rocket, he has effectively included bubbles at the bottom to show where the "rocket" has emerged from...
