Growing up as a child I was always into music. In my younger years, heavily influenced by my father, I began listening to rock n roll. As I grew up, my interest in music broadened. I went from rock n roll, to classic rock, to hip-hop, loving the unique style each form of music brings to the table. I have seen my fair share of musicals, rock concerts, and rap concerts but no concert will ever have the lasting impact that Luciano Pavarotti's concert in Boston had on me.
I never considered myself a fan of classical music and never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine I would attend a classical concert. In November of 2001, my family had purchased 5 tickets to see Luciano Pavarotti perform at the FleetCenter in Boston, Massachusetts. The tickets were purchased for my Italian grandmother and were given to her for her birthday. Despite having no interest in Pavarotti, I granted my grandmothers wish, and attended the concert with her.
Sitting only eight rows back and spending 190 dollars for each ticket, we nearly had front row seats, or so I thought...
