Cat-in-the-Hat
August is always hot, sometimes miserably hot. It is also the time when thoughts of back to school begin and our long summer comes painfully to an end. One thing that our family always looked forward to was our annual Wisconsin Dells last minute getaway. We never really planned it but somehow when the last week of August hit, we hit the road. Dad always drove with my older bother, Joshua, up front navigating the way. My mom and my other brother, Darin, manned the middle seats, leaving me to sleep in the back seats of the family van. It was about a 4 hour drive with a few stops to break the boredom. It was a time to bond as a family and sometimes unbond with little squabbles amongst us siblings. All and all, we would arrive ready to focus on a full day of fun at a family water park.
