The Vietnam War started in 1961 and ended in April 1975, but actually, the American had involved in supporting the French since 1950s.The Vietnam War is the longest and worse war, which Americans have ever involved. Vietnam, a small country in Southeast Asia, was divided into Communist-ruled North Vietnam and non-Communist South Vietnam. North Vietnam and Communist-trained South Vietnames .The USA became increasingly involved in Vietnam because America was scared that communism in North Vietnam would spread across the world. The President of the USA called President Eisenhower said that if America didn't do anything then communism would spread which he called the "Dominoe effect".Which meant that once one country has turned communist the next country near it will also become communist.
