Rage is well known for its huge influence on the people of oppressive governments, undoubtedly the biggest force behind social justice in the twentieth century, and even into the twentieth century, the band has broken, but the message remains, as strong as it ever has been. This report aims to discover exactly how Rage Against the Machine conveys their Religious and Social Justice Values in their music. The report will address this focus question in three key areas; The Power of the Lyrics, The Power of their Instruments and the Power of their Live Performances.
The Power of Lyrics
There isn't a single Rage track available that doesn't have a significant message behind the song, and the only way to convey this message in music is through the lyrics, the words of the track. The lyrics convey the Religious and Social Justice values profoundly. There will be three tracks analysed, "Born of a Broken Man", "Take the Power Back" and "Sleep now in the Fire"...
