Judged by Misjudgement
Minnie Wright, from " A Jury of Her Peers", was not expecting to be mentally abused by her husband, and what actions she would portray on such an ordinary day (the second half of your sentence, since it doesn't conform with the "to be" element of the first half, makes the entire sentence a bit awkward and she was reacting without thinking logically. She had no idea that she would not finish putting up her fruit or that strangers would be going through her house on the following day. She was as normal as a wife could be living in the situation that she did for so long. Minnie Wright lived her life to suit her husbands' needs. She would do what it took to make and keep him as content as she could. She respected her role of being the wife of John Wright (I'll let this go in the intro., Kristi, but recognize you're adding a lot to the text, making up some details) She seemed to respect her role of being his wife because also did as he asked...
