The poem by Miroslav Holub 'the door' refers to change/changing self because the poem tells you about opening doors, which could lead to something positive or negative. By opening doors the poet represents the door to your life because she is saying that when you see a chance go for it because it could be helpful. I also know that she doesn't mean go and open the doors literally because the words in the poem i.e.: open the door there is a magic city and opening the door to discover unusual things makes you realize that she does not mean literally open the door but figuratively. The first stanza shows an imperative "go and open the door" and uses the word 'maybe' as a possibility there could be something there optimistic and unenthusiastic. The poet also uses the word go and open rather than open because it is more instructive. The second stanza starts off the same way the first one did and also offers a variety of possibilities. The third stanza has a phrase "if there is a fog it will clear" mean it could be solving a problem. This stanza also is like the first and second stanza as to the way it starts off...
