The regions of Latin America and the United States and Canada had many similarities and differences. The three topics compared and contrasted in this essay are Landforms and Climate, Culture, and Economy. Latin America and the United States are very similar and different when it comes to its landforms. Latin America has high mountain ranges, less jagged highlands, vast central plains and volcanic islands. The United States and Canada have sharp mountains, plateaus and plains. These 2 regions share common characteristics of body forms making them similar to one another. The United States and Canada have waterways, rivers, lakes, coastal water, and inter coastal channels. The water systems of Latin America are a key to the region. This shows that water for both regions play a vital role in setting of these lands. Latin America has 3 tropical Highlands, which include Tierra templada, Tierra Caliente, and Tierra Fria, which are based on latitude and elevation. In The United States and Canada, some climatic factors lead to tornadoes, fall hurricanes, and winter blizzards.
