Homer Simpson vs. father's from Proverbs
Proverbs is said to be the "most down to earth" book in the bible. It gives good family advice and guidance for making your way into the world. Much of the advice in Proverbs is suited to young people. Some examples are warnings against joining gangs, and cautioning against sex outside of marriage. It teaches the smart way to live.
The teachings in the book of Proverbs seem to contradict the way that Homer Simpson guides his family. Pr. 4: 10-11 states, " Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many. I guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths...
