Michel de Nastredome better know for his Latin name "Nostradamus", was born on December 14th, 1503, in St.Remy de Province (also spelled Saint Remi) located in Southern France. Nostradamus was of Jewish decent, but was raised as a Roman Catholic. In 1522, at the age of 19, he started his medical studies in Avingon, France at Montpellier. After graduating around 1525, he began treating victims of the "Black Plague." In 1529, Nostradamus returned to Montpellier to work on his Doctrine. After he finished his schooling he married his first wife and they had two children, but they too like many others were struck with the plague and died.
In 1538 Nostradamus was forced to leave France by the attempts of the Spanish Inquisition to arrest him for misconceptions of church officials. Nostradamus then traveled to Italy for a period of six years. After returning to France in 1546 he was employed by the city of Aix...
