History of Hip-Hop/Break Dancing
Throughout time, dance has been an essential cyclic, element that has been fundamental to many of the civilizations that have ever existed. Stories have been past down through folk dance, and cultures have been strengthened through the amalgamation of people in society. A recent culture that has predisposed a type of dance exists in the world today, that culture is called "Hip-Hop". The Hip-Hop Genre has protracted from its roots of Break Dancing into a world renowned, evolved version that is being broadcasted through media, and more styles of dancing today.
The are four main rudiments of hip-hop dance, "Break dancing, popping, locking, Brooklyn rocking street dancing. Break dancing has a short but rich history beginning from the early 1970's and continuing to the present. Early inspirations by such personalities as James Brown and Michael Jackson, paved the way for future b-boy's and b-girl's.
