MUSIC STAFF
This is what music is written on.
The music staff is made up from five lines and four spaces. The first line starts from the bottom and goes up. The same applies with the spaces. The higher up the staff a dot (note) is placed, the higher the note will sound. The lower on the staff a note is placed, the lower the pitch will be.
TREBLE CLEF NOTES (Played with the right hand)
The treble clef includes Middle C and all notes above it
BASS CLEF NOTES (Played with the Left Hand)
The bass clef consists of all noted below Middle C (i.e. the treble clef)
NOTE AND RHYTHM VALUES
How a note looks on paper will tell us how long that note is played for. As you can see below, all the notes have different duration values...
