Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, holds high standards for its engineering students. A student at OSU's College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology will become a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and major in Electrical Engineering with Computer Engineering as an option. For the 2003-2004 academic year, Oklahoma State requires 133 total hours for its Electrical Engineering students. Students must also maintain a minimum grade-point average of 2.00.
Of the 133 total hours required, 38 hours will be needed for general education, 26 hours for Pre-Engineering, 9 hours for Common Professional education, 57 hours for specific professional education, and 3 hours of controlled electives. Courses in general education include English Composition and Oral Communication, American History and Government, Analytical and Quantitative Thought, Humanities, Natural Sciences, Social and Behavioral Sciences, International Dimension, and Scientific Investigation.
