Introduction
In this activity we tried to find the energy that is stored in a peanut and use it to heat 50 ml. of water. Mass- The amount of matter in an object, mass can b measured in milligrams, grams, kilograms or tones. Matter-Anything that has mass and occupies space, including all solids, liquids and gasses.
Purpose
How much energy is in a peanut and is there enough energy to heat 50 ml. of water?
Hypothesis
In this lab I think the energy of the peanut will be enough to make a few bubbles in the water because a peanut is very small so its burning time must be short. I think that the peanut will make the water 10C warmer.
