Scuba diving has become a new and fun sport among those on vacation and those that want to view the world we do not usually see under water. There are close to four million scuba divers in this country today. Over 300,000 new sport divers are certified each year. Diving is also an important associated activity of industrial, scientific and military professions. No one should scuba dive without training and certification. Before training, people do not realize the technical things that can go wrong with diving. Many people think of it as an easy, get away activity with no trouble involved. This is why it is so important that divers are trained and certified before they enter the water. Without proper training and knowledge of scuba divining, a diver could easily become a victim of a diving related disease, the most common being decompression sickness.
