1. Regarding airships during World War I, who made airship raids against whom and why?
The first airship raids were made by the Germans against the English. Peter Strasser, the German naval commander argued towards the use of airships in raids against England. The goals of the raids were to lower English morale, and to use airships as much or more than the German Army at the time.
2. How effective was the airship as a bomber?
The airships were not very effective as a bomber. The accuracy was very poor because there was no better way to drop the bombs than someone physically dropping it. The altitude, speed of the balloon, and the wind would all affect the bombs accuracy, decreasing the accuracy as each increased...
