Apparatus
Graduated 10ml pipette 10 test tubes
Graduated 20ml pipette Colorimeter
Pipette filler 5 cuvetttes
Stopwatch Enzyme solution
3 beakers Starch solution
5 boiling tubes Iodine in potassium iodide solution
Method
1. Label 4 boiling tubes 100%, 75%, 50% and 25%.
2. Pour the enzyme solution into a 100ml beaker and then prepare the following dilutions into the appropriately labelled boiling tube using the 10ml pipette to measure the liquids.
1. 100% - 10ml enzyme solution
2. 75% - 7.5ml of enzyme solution and 2.5ml of distilled water
