Nella's Diary
In this essay i am goin to explain the changes ordinary peoples lives during the war.It is about a girl called Nella Last 1890-1968 (house wife)
The diary of nella was so interesting because it had shown us how the ordinary pepole coped during that war and how they appriciated the things they got this is why this diary is so unique.
When the war broke out Nella felt she had to do her own patrotic bit.According to the newsreel The jobs of women were yransporting things to different places.The reaction towards men that nella had, she totaly went off them and she thaught that if they can do something like this then she can too.She felt confident that she could work as well as them.Churchill was a wonderful man in nellas thaughts.
Nella coped with the rationing very fair and she respected it into her home.Even though they could only have bacon,butter and sugar in small ammounts from the rationing book she welcomed it in her home.She thaught that the authorities had made a huge mistake because they didnt have enough food kitchens to feed the people and hadnt made enough shelters also some people has a shortage of the food they used the most so they could swap some of there stamps from the rationing book for ones they used for the ones they dont use to the people who do use them...
