1. Summary
A. A fireman discovers the past through books he had consumed in his job, and
realized that hiding books was the way to save the future. When he got caught with the
books, hiding from the city in the future and nearing death became the consequences.
B. The order in which the story proceeds was in media-res. It started with a man
whose life goes well until a girl tells him about the harm he did and the world suddenly
turned gloomy and discontent.
C. In the story, tone towards "the hound" on page 27, foreshadowed that it
disliked Guy Montag by the way it growled at him in the beginning of the story. The
hound symbolized evil technology...
