Personal Narrative
The crisp air, ground covered with a blanket of snow, and classmates getting restless in the
classroom are three ways I know that holiday break is approaching. This break gives students the
time to be with family and friends. Although my family does not make big plans for the break, I
got the opportunity to vocate for a weekend to Winter Park.
A few days until holiday break, my boyfriend, Bryson, and I discussed what we wanted to
do during our time off. He remembered that his mom's side of the family goes on an annual trip.
One evening, Bryson's mom gave him a call inviting him to come along with his grandparents,
aunts and uncles, cousins, his mom and step-dad, and stay in a huge cabin in the mountains at
Winter Park. Bryson and I headed up to meet his mom in Fort Collins where we would then ride
with her, Leon, who is Bryson's step-dad, and his little sister to the cabin, where the rest of the
family would meet us. The drive to Winter Park had beautiful scenery, and the drive was very
peaceful. When we pulled up to the enormous cabin, Bryson's uncles came outside to help us
unload. I met a lot of his family that night, and they were all very humane and outgoing...
