Laying in a hospital after a recent car crash that has left your whole body motionless, the doctor comes in. He tries to explain that your body will never function properly again. Paralyzed from the neck down, the will to live is quickly diminishing. At what point should the line be drawn. Should a person ever have the ability to call it quits.
"The act or practice of ending the life of an individual suffering from a terminal illness or an incurable condition, as by lethal injection or the suspension of extraordinary medical treatment" (Dictionary). This is the definition of euthanasia. The problem with this definition is very simple, who decides when someone is terminally ill. Certainly not a future patient. The truth of the matter is a patient who believes they may be terminally ill or have an incurable condition which may require this practice to be done varies from patient to patient...
