The Crucible came to conclude that many people had died for their strong faith. The play told the story of individuals who were either put to death for telling the truth or kept jailed for lying about who they were inside. It all started with certain individuals who couldn't stand to take the blame of being accused of doing something wrong. Abigail Williams, Deputy Governor Danforth, and Tituba each put the blame on the other people to take any blame away from them. They knew that if they didn't they would be whipped for the things that they had done.
Abigail is truly the basis of the entire lie solely because of her selfishness. Many of the girls in city of Salem had followed Abigail in many of the lies. To start the story Abigail drank blood as a charm to kill Goody Proctor. She got very uptight when Betty said what she had done and basically threatened everyone around. She wouldn't have been so uptight about something like that if she didn't know that what she did was wrong...
