Test Taking Anxiety
In my opinion, test taking anxiety or as I will refer to it as "T.T.A", can be a significantly distressing factor throughout the most vital years of education. T.T.A., is an uneasiness or apprehension that some students experience before, during or after an examination. Almost everyone to a certain degree experiences some anxiety while preparing for or taking a substantially large examination, but for some students it becomes such a hindering disability that their grades, self esteem, and personal stamina are greatly affected to the point where their desired motivation towards their academic progress is rendered irrelevant.
At this point, the particular individual may jump to the conclusion that they are not smart enough, or will feel that perhaps their cognitive abilities cannot compete with the level of the class they are partaking in. Their thoughts may wander and eventually their self-esteem is devastated by the feeling that they simply cannot compete with the academic requirements pertaining to class assignments, let alone tests and projects...
