The country has seen GDP growth rates between 2% - 4% for the past five years, and it appears that the level may remain the same or dip further. UK, one of the biggest economies of the world, has dealt with an economic downtrend in the recent past, and economists are still searching for the bottom. Though there have been signs of recovery off late, it is not strong enough to predict a recovery. The domestic demand and consumption factors are growing at a snail pace. Unemployment has remained stagnant around the 3% level for long. The current account deficit is projected to be around 26 billion in FY03, which will be around 2% of the GDP...
