I've done many things in my life so far that I can be proud of. There are no-hitters I've pitched; game-winning hits, diving plays, and many other things that may not even have anything to do with baseball. I know that I'll remember all of these things for a long time, but there is one memory that is just sticking out in my head.
It was last year, my junior year, when I had to pitch against NB. In order to win the series and to get off to a good start we had to win this game. The pressure was on me to stay poised and keep the ball in the strike zone. I was very nervous all the way up until the first pitch, like I always am, and I threw strike one and I knew I was going to be ok after that. In the first inning I struck out the first two batters and then got the 3rd hitter to ground out to third base. In the second inning it was basically the same thing, I struck out two and got the 6th batter to ground out to third again. Next inning we scored 2 runs and took the lead 2-0...
