Did The First Man and Woman Deserve The Punishments Withheld Upon Them

... From the Bible, from the book of Genesis, it stated that man was created with everlasting life until the first woman was deceived by a serpent and ate the forbidden fruit. And for this reason, the first man and woman disobeying the Lord of not eating the fruit, they were punished. ... The punishment for the woman was to suffer in bringing forth children and she shall be ruled over by man. ...

From the biblical explanation, there would arise the question: “Did the first man and woman really deserve such form of punishment? ... ”

The purpose of this study is to propose that the first man and woman don’t deserve the punishments withheld upon them. If it can be justified that they don’t really deserve such punishments, the certain biblical explanation would not be a reliable basis to rely unto. The study will discuss about why the first man and woman stated in the Bible don’t deserve the punishments withheld upon them. Upon citing examples and explanations about why they (the first man and woman) don’t deserve the punishments withheld upon them, it can make the biblical explanation of why man has to die an unreliable source of information anymore.

Body:

First and foremost let us come to the fruit from the tree that they both ate. ... They were also unaware that the woman will suffer in bringing forth children upon eating the fruit. ... If they were not aware of the consequence, do they deserve to suffer the consequence? ... But in the case of the first man and woman, they didn’t know if disobeying someone even God would be good or bad for them. ... Upon implementation of laws in the mainland of the country, the community in the said island will in some way not be “covered” by the laws of the country. ...

One might reason out that upon disobeying God, the first man and woman committed an evil act in the sense of morality. ... The Norm of Morality is the Eternal Law (Divine Reason) in ultimate, or man’s conscience(human reason) in proximate. Now, the first man and woman may have not been in harmony with the with the Eternal Law and might follow that they committed an evil act in state of morality of that certain act. ...

Summary/ Conclusion:

From the explanations, we can see that the rule of not eating the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden would have been known by the first man and woman but not all the consequence of breaking the rule was not and if breaking the rule would be good or evil.
