First and foremost what is terrorism? Terrorism is a deliberate use of violence against civilians for political or religious ends. Terrorism is premeditated with the purpose of using it as a means of psychological impact through violence or threat that will result in political change. Often times this includes the highjacking or sabotage of any conveyance, detaining, injuring or killing other individuals to compel a third person, violent attacks upon internationally protected persons or property, assassination, the use of any biological agent, chemical agent, or nuclear weapons, it also can be the use of firearms, or can be less harmful such as a threat, attempts, or conspiracy.
As a matter of fact, of all countries the United States should best know the meaning of terrorism. In a global perspective the United States of America was the inventor of terrorism. Ramzi Ahmed Yousef explains in a time when the United States were in shock over when he himself made the first attempt to in the world trade center down. AYou were the first one who killed innocent people, and you are the first one who introduced this type of terrorism to the history of mankind.@ He believes that terrorism is justifiable in most case scenarios, such as in his case and he would certainly defend al-Qaeda as well.
Because the aim of terrorism is to persuade its audience to change their government, there must obviously be something horrific in the perspective of the victimizer in their targeted political order...
