1. How will Europe benefit from a single currency? Will some countries benefit more than others? Why?
Europe will benefit from the stability of the currency and a zero exchange rate risk. For businesses the euro will simplify trade with member countries. Competition between companies will also rise, offering consumers greater number of goods. Some countries may benefit then others if prices in the country are lower then other countries. Since there is greater transparency of prices between countries, consumers will purchase goods from the lower priced country instead of their home country.
