WIT Short Reflection Paper
1. The main character makes a point in the move about pain and she states, "having pain equals being human." Explain what you think she meant by that.
Pain is an inevitable human process that is endured in life. It comes in many dimensionsemotional, mental, spiritual, and physical. When hearing the term pain, one can immediately react negatively because pain can be seen as a negative factor that can uphold and interfere with life. In actuality pain is a learning process and in many instances this fact is realized after overcoming the pain. Only in this crucial period can it be seen that one can survive pain and pull through being more aware, knowledgeable and stronger in will and determination to overcome further tribulation in the future.
In the recurrence of pain, with experience, one can have the self determination to overcome and triumph even in turmoil situations such as death, betrayal, illness, ethical dilemma, depression, loss, hopelessness, or physical incapacity.
Having no pain is not living life...
