Before reading this passage i know the importance of Dr.Martin Luther king in history but was truly unaware of what an extraordinary, educated and admirable man Dr. King really was . I found in his words his purity of heart, kindness, and loyalty to his affiliation and love of his people. He explains himself with such patience and capacity. He compares himself to Paul and how he responded to the aid of the Macedonians, as he must also do to the call of injustice in Birmingham. Dr. Kings nonviolent campaigns reminded me much of the Just war tactics of the Catholic church. He lists and explains his reasons for initiating his demonstrations.
