The visions I have had since very young have always involved contributing my leadership talents in the hopes that I might pave a smoother and more enlightening road for others. I know that many students will try for this chance as representative and I also know that only a few will succeed. I feel that I would be excellent in being able to take on the duties of the NASC as I have been successful in my different leadership roles. Many adults as well as peers see me as a natural leader and being part of the NASC would help me to exercise those natural skills.
I agree with Donald H. McGannon who said that "Leadership is action, not position." I feel that being a leader is much more than the title. It is more than simply leading people. Leadership is about making a difference and that difference is to develop others into leaders.
