A Defining Moment I know I’m not the most talented player in the NBA. I don’t have the classic shooting motion. I’m skinny, 6’7”, 185 pounds. I mean, UCLA didn’t even recruit me until three other guys turned down scholarship offers. But I’m here. You might not like me on the court, but you’ve got to respect me. I’m not there to win friends, I’m there to win games. I Love Being the Enemy is a nonfiction book that explains the heat of a basketball game to the average spectator. One can only imagine the types of things that go on during a game. Not only the physical aspects, but also the mental and emotional aspects of playing in the NBA are ostensibly easy to the common eye, but they are actually quite difficult to bear on the court. Reggie Miller goes into deep elaboration on the events that occur in one’s mind during a basketball game. What is a basketball game like according to the biggest trash talker in the league?
