Scariest Moment As lightning came crashing down around our feet all I could think was “I’ve got to get John out of this.” We ran as fast as we could hoping to see some kind of shelter. Then, as if out of thin air, a house appeared. We raced up on to the porch and knocked furiously against the glass door, the rain still beating down on us like rocks. Suddenly the door opened, John and I literally fell inside. This frightening day started like any other morning. The sun was shining and the sky was a brilliant blue. A small gray cloud, placed effortlessly on the bottom of this masterpiece reminded me of a signature on a work of art. The waves rolled in, engulfing our small toes in the surf.
